One Year Of Healing
Time may not heal all wounds, but chances are the Center for Advance Wound Healing at Saddleback Memorial can. The facility treated nearly 800 patients with chronic, nonhealing wounds in its first year, using a variety of advanced clinical treatments such as bioengineered skin equivalents, matrix dressings and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Hyperbaric treatment takes place in a specially designed compartment that uses pure oxygen and high pressure to promote faster wound healing. Saddleback Memorial recently purchased its third hyperbaric chamber, offering patients convenient access to this state-of-the-art treatment.
The Center is affiliated with Diversified Clinical Services, a national entity with extensive experience in wound healing. The organization follows clinical practices proven successful for healing thousands of patients who have chronic wounds resulting from diabetes, traumatic injuries, peripheral vascular disease, surgical incisions and more.
