More than a dozen types of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures can be performed at Orange Coast Memorial's Cardiovascular Center, utilizing its brand new cardiovascular catheterization lab.The lab's digital imaging system provides highly detailed views of the heart and surrounding blood vessels while minizing radiation exposure. This new technology gives cardiologists the ability to look inside the heart and blood vessels. Procedures can be performed more efficiently and with less risk to patients.
These capabilities complement Orange Coast Memorial's non-invasive cardiology services and enhance its award-winning emergency department by allowing patients admitted with chest pain or other heart attack symptoms to go directly to the cardiovascular center for diagnostic procedures.
