Long Beach Memorial Medical Center (LBMMC) and Miller Children’s Hospital (MCH) currently have three distinct surgical service areas: Long Beach Memorial Medical Center Inpatient/Outpatient Surgery, the MemorialCare Center for Women Surgical Center and the Memorial Heart & Vascular Institute. LBMMC has 23 general surgery operating rooms, the MemorialCare Center for Women has nine operating rooms and the Memorial Heart and Vascular Institute has three rooms specially equipped for cardiovascular surgery. Including minimally invasive surgical procedures with the latest generation of robotic computer technology, called the da Vinci S Surgical System.
