Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach currently have three distinct surgical service areas: Long Beach Memorial Medical Center Inpatient/Outpatient Surgery, the MemorialCare Center for Women Surgical Center and the MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute. Long Beach Memorial Medical Center has 23 general surgery operating rooms, the MemorialCare Center for Women has nine operating rooms and the MemorialCare Heart and Vascular Institute has three rooms specially equipped for cardiovascular surgery. Including minimally invasive surgical procedures with the latest generation of robotic computer technology, called the da Vinci S Surgical System.
